The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Wednesday, September 9 reveals Diane Abbott (Susan Walters) will be upset with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman).
Also coming up, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will be grateful to Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc). Plus, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will get disappointing news. And Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) and Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) son will be heading to boarding school.
Y&R spoilers tease Michael will show up at the rehab clinic to see Nick. He’ll say he spoke to Marie Kirkland (Jade Harlow) and found out he claimed responsibility for a man’s death. “What the hell are you thinking?” Michael will add that if Marie hadn’t taken responsibility, he could have faced a murder charge. Nick will say it was a knee-jerk reaction.
Y&R Daily Scoop – Michael Asks Nick Why He’d Risk His Freedom
Michael will tell him Marie’s husband was a yeller and had outbursts at his work as well. She was questioned and released and no charges were filed. Nick will thank him. But Michael will ask why he risked his freedom for someone he barely knows. “The thought of her going to prison after everything she’s gone through,” he’ll reply. Michael will say he’s supposed to be protecting himself, for his own sake and the sake of his family.
After Michael leaves, viewers will be subjected to another meeting, with Nick mainly talking about Marie, a character who was only introduced a month ago. But he’ll tell the assembled group that when everything went down, his first thought wasn’t to have a pill. “It’s a wild feeling, it’s actually incredible.”
At the GCAC, Adam will tell Chelsea he was just talking to someone from a therapeutic boarding school about Connor Newman (Judah Mackey). “Adam no,” she’ll reply, asking if he wants their son to go away again. Adam will say it wasn’t his idea, it was Connor’s. “They’re supposed to have a stellar baseball program.”
Chelsea will ask why he wants to keep leaving them. “Connor is being ambitious,” Adam will reply. “They think he’s awesome and they’ll hold a spot for him.” They need an answer by the end of the day. Then Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will walk by and say hello. She’ll tell them she had a scare but everything is all right now. And Billy has given up coming after Chancellor.
“She deserves to be happy, to be a mom,” Adam will say to Chelsea as Sally walks away. “Billy better not screw this up for her.” And of course, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will walk in and hear the comment. They’ll bicker and Adam will say he heard he let go of Chancellor. Billy will ask Sally why she told Adam. She’ll say he seems to be itching for a fight and will wonder if it’ll ever end. So Billy will apologize.
Meanwhile, Jack will take issue with Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) suggestion about a competition between Jabot and Vibrante. “Straight out of the gate Vibrante will fail,” he’ll explain. “They don’t stand a chance against us.”

Diane will ask Kyle if Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) going to run Newman Enterprises and Vibrante. Kyle will say no, she wants Nikki to run it. Jack will say that’s a great move. “Jack, whose side are you on?” Diane will ask. “You’re cheering her on.”
Jack will say a head-to-head viral competition doesn’t sound like Nikki’s style at all. “Who would you rather take on, Nikki or Victoria?” Diane will ask Kyle. He’ll say they are both formidable opponents. Then Nikki and Victoria will show up and say Nikki is the new CEO of Vibrante.
“I’m sure you’ll have some level of success in your tiny corner of the market,” Kyle will quip. And Victoria will say the social media battle is officially off. They’ll trade barbs and Nikki will tell Victoria she can take it from there.
Finally, Kyle will leave for a meeting. Then Jack will offer to help Nikki get started with Vibrante, adding there have been innovations in the cosmetics industry. She’ll say she’ll be back to take him up on his offer and she and Victoria will head out.
“How nice that you can be so cavalier,” Diane will tell her husband. “Do you really think that Victor will stay happily on the sidelines? What if he sees this as the final battle in the war, and winner takes all?” But is Diane right? Stay tuned!
